For more than four decades the Hellenic Canadian Community of York Region (HCCY) has been dedicating itself to building up our youth toward higher academic achievement and community excellence through the creation and running of a school, the York Hellenic Educational Society, also known as Hellenic Academy of York or “HAY”.
The school operates Saturdays from 9:30am – 2:30pm starting in September and ending in June.
Fees: $795 per student approximately $26 for each Saturday.
Each family will become a member of the HCCY for an additional $75 annual fee.

The HAY is a charitable organization and received registered charity status under the Income Tax Act on December 12, 2008. The official registration number assigned by the Canada Revenue Agency to the HAY is 839605755 RR0001.

High School Credit Program
Our Saturday Greek Language Secondary Credit Program focuses on a single credit course in International Languages.
Registration is open to students aged 14 to 18 who are currently enrolled in an Ontario High School.
Students not meeting these requirements are not eligible to register for any courses.
Fees: $495 September – June.
Each family will become a member of the HCCY for an additional $75 annual fee.

ONLY available to new enrollments, ages 4 and under. Year of Birth: 2021-2023.

This class is meant to introduce children to Greek school and will include arts, crafts, nursery rhymes etc.
Must be potty trained.
