PLEASE BE AWARE:
We have been advised by the York Region District School Board (YRDSB) that as a result of the current Job Action by members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), all community use permits have been cancelled and will remain cancelled during CUPE Job Action.

CUPE staff in schools include caretakers, clerical staff, educational assistants, designated early childhood educators, and other support staff. Effective Monday, September 30th caretakers will not be performing certain duties, which are essential to the safe community use of our schools.

As a result, the Hellenic Academy of York (HAY) Greek School will be closed on Saturday October 5, 2019.

Please do not bring your children to the school this Saturday as the school will be locked.
Classes will resume once we have been notified by YRDSB that the school is once again open.
