Parent Appreciation Day – Saturday February 1, 2020 – TODAY!
HCCY members and HAY parents are invited to join us for a cup of coffee and sweets during the morning drop-off at the Greek School outside of the Gym. Please stop by and meet your board members and fellow parents. Richmond Hill Winter Carnival – February 1 & 2, 2020
Please be aware, the Richmond Hill Winter Carnival will be on this weekend at Mill Pond, near the corner of Mill Street and Trench Street. Please allow extra time for pick up and drop off at Greek School this Saturday as there may be road closures and increased traffic to contend with. Family Day – NO CLASSES – Saturday, February 15, 2020
Please note, there will be no classes held at the Hellenic Academy of York on Saturday, February 15, 2020 in recognition of the Family Day long weekend.

Let’s Celebrate! – TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
The Hellenic-Canadian Community of York Region (HCCY) will be celebrating our 40th Anniversary at Paramount EventSpace on Saturday, February 22, 2020. The celebration will include our HAY students performing Traditional Greek Dances, a performance from Levendia X, and keeping the party going with DJ Kosta from Party Time Entertainment and a Surprise for our younger guests!Adults $100 and Children (Under 12) $50. We hope to see you there!

Notice for Students & Parents – Grade 1 to Grade 8 
Simone Gavros, our HAY Dance Instructor would like to inform you of the following: Grade 1 to Grade 8 Hellenic Academy of York students will be performing at this year at 40th Anniversary Dance on February 22nd. In order to have an accurate count dancers for preparations, Simone would need to know who will be attending. Kindly notify Simone by email, send children name(s) and grade to simonegavros@gmail.com.

The Hellenic Canadian Community of York Region and the Hellenic Academy of York needs your help. We are looking for new dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. We need passionate volunteers to come on board with fresh new ideas and the energy to take our community to the next level. If your time is limited, we are also looking for volunteers to join our special committees including: Events, Fundraising, Membership, and School Lunch Program.
